Our Sessions

We currently run on Sundays and Mondays from 10.30am until 12.00pm.

Details and prices for all sessions can be viewed by clicking the "booking" button above.

Each session is an hour and a half long.  Parents/carers are fully responsible for the supervision of their children at all times.

During school term times we encourage block booking, but we do advertise single sessions if they become available.  We run PAYG sessions during school holidays and also special themed events for holidays such as Easter, Halloween and Christmas.

During our sessions, children are invited to explore, create and play at their own pace, supported by their grown-ups, in a calm, welcoming woodland environment.

For consistency we keep some stations the same week in and out - the woodland obstacle course and slackline, our Woodland shop, the Forest kitchen and swings/hammocks.  Other stations we base on the interests of the children and what they have engaged with in previous sessions, seasonal activities or themed around popular books and stories.

We  finish the session in our meeting circle with a snack for the children and a story.

We sometimes have a campfire - which is always hugely popular.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you?  We are a short 5-10 minute drive from Monifieth or Carnoustie.  We don't share our location publicly.  Full details are sent on booking.

What age(s) do you cater for?  We are strictly an under 5s playgroup.  Please do not bring additional children of school age with you.  Children must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18.  Children under the age of 1 are free with a paid sibling.  We recommend that your children are confidently walking to get the best experience from our sessions.

Are there toilets in the woods?  We don't have toilets.  Many parents bring a travel potty or changing mat.  There are plenty of private spots for a "wild wee."

What should we wear?  Children and adults should come dressed for the weather.  It can be cool in the forest, even on a warm day, so layers that can be removed are recommended.

What is your refund policy?  We do not offer refunds, unless the session is cancelled by us, due to weather or illness.  This is clearly stated when booking and, by booking, you agree to this.  Please bear this in mind when choosing to book, as there will be no exceptions to this policy.

Do you offer Birthday Parties?   From January 2026,  we will not be holding Birthday Parties.
